On-ear design means they rest on top of the the ear without surrounding them, and they are said to block 85% of outside ambient noise. These headphones are lightweight and fold up so they can be placed in the included travel pouch, and an airline adapter and 1.6 foot extension cable with 1/4" stereo jack are also included. These are a step up in price from the ATH-ANC25 with a trade off in larger driver diameter and headband padding found in the ANC25, for greater frequency response, power handling and noise cancellation in the ANC1.
