Grado SR225

$200.00 Released January, 2001

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Slightly darker than lower grado headphone models, easier to listen to. The most high end Grado that maintains the light plastic shell. One of the best from a price:performance ratio - SR325 is $100 (50%) more, SR125 is not well regarded.

The Cons:Some believe a lesser Grado can be transformed to approach the refined sound of the 225 by implementing modifications (replacing grill, adding dampening to the back of the driver etc...). Open design and thick cable are only good for quiet at home listening - cannot be easily thrown in a bag. Potential comfort issues - takes a while to get used to.

Features are the same as the SR125 but, this Headphone has an increased air flow by 50% which is achieved through an improved rear metal screen and closer matched drivers. The result is an enlarged soundstage achieved from closer driver tolerances, while the improved rear screen frees the headphone from colorations.
